Seamless Network Integration The Falcon IV was designed to support both DAS and SAN configurations and is interoperable with all standard FC or SAS host interfaces. Falcon interoperability ensures that all standard host cards and switches work seamlessly with the system. The Falcon IV series is available in 12, 16 or 24-bay single or dual controller versions, offering a maximum capacity of 224TB utilizing up to (6) SAS-based expansion chassis. An additional feature of the dual controller solution is a built-in hub which allows up to (8) systems to connect directly without using a switch in a non-redundant mode. Superior Performance The Falcon IV offers superior performance to any system in its class with an 8Gb internal bandwidth that features a 64-bit 667mhz databus from the CPU with Dual PCI-X buses for I/O transactions, making it unquestionably the highest performing system in its class. Intelligent Drive Handling

The Falcon IV is RAID level 6 capable, giving it an added feature of fault tolerance. An additional feature is its intelligent drive handling function which retrieves data from damaged sectors, and handles low quality drives in both degraded mode and during the rebuild process. Falcon systems support hot-swap disk drives, hot-swap fans and hot-swap power modules for ease of component replacement without downtime.
