Falcon III - 4Gb FC / 3Gb SAS to SAS / SATA-2

High Performance without the High Price

RAID Incorporated ’s Falcon III series of Fibre Channel / Serial-Attached SCSI to SAS / SATA-2 storage systems were designed for environments that simply demand the best performance and the right price. Cluster, database server, short window disk-to-disk backup, and video editing applications are just a few of the applications that thrive on Falcon III storage with price points that fit within your budget.

Seamless Network Integration

The Falcon III was designed to support both DAS and SAN configurations and is interoperable with all standard FC or SAShost interfaces. Falcon interoperability ensures that all standard host cards and switches work seamlessly with the system. The Falcon III series is available in 8*, 12, 16 or 24-bay single or dual controller versions, offering a maximum capacity of 80TB utilizing up to (4) SAS-based expansion chassis. An additional feature of the dual controller solution is a built-in hub which allows up to (8) systems to connect directly without using a switch in a non-redundant mode.

Superior Performance

The Falcon III offers superior performance to any system in its class with a 4Gb internal bandwidth that features a 64-bit 400mhz databus from the CPU with Dual PCI-X buses for I/O transactions, making it unquestionably the highest performing system in its class.
